Hydrostatic Release Unit for Category I EPIRB HYDROFIX ™ HRU
The HydroFix ™ Hydrostatic Release Unit (HRU) is a patented rod system that allows a beacon to be released quickly and reliably from a Category I bracket when submerged in water between 1.5-4 meters (4.9-13 , 1 feet). This unit is designed to work with the Sea Shelter ™, Sea Shelter ™ 2, Sea Shelter ™ 3 and Sea Shelter ™ 4 beacon mounts.
Product Information
A patented rod system does not rely on a battery, blade, or pyrotechnic device to release the beacon. This advantage allows a quick, smooth and reliable release in an emergency.
Please note this is a stamped product and must be replaced every 2 years from the date of installation or 4 years from the date of manufacture.
